Fair Trade-Meat

Hello guys,
today I'm going to tell you something about Fair Trade meat.

The most people in Europe eat meat every single day, but they don't even know how the animals feed and how they live.
The animals which are live Fair Trade, they live happy. They aren't just live in a small box and eat their food and when they are old enough they are going to be sleigh. In Austria more and more farmers are going to transform their production into Fair Trade-Production.

Our meat in Austria often come from other countries because there the meat is cheaper. But cheap meat also had his CON:
1. The meat often isn't healthy and on the package, there aren't any information about the origin.
2. The farmers which sell Fair Trade-meat didn't become enough money if the others "steal" their work capital=the shops didn't buy Fair Trade-meat anymore and the farmers has got a smashup.

But the buyer who buy expensive food with the "Ja!Natürlich", or other signs which guarantee that the meat is produce with Fair Trade, have their PROs:
1. The Fair Trade-meat is healthier.
2. The animals lived happy.

Welcome to "Problems of our world"

By Kornelia Kostandin and Martina Markunovic
Chocolate
We are going to tell you something about the history of chocolate, how it’s produced and how about “Fairtrade“ chocolate, but first of all one little information about the popularity of chocolate.
Chocolate is for most of the countries in the developed world the 1st  income stream, because cocoa is grown in tropical regions in these countries. 90% of cocoa is cultivated on small family farms (4.8 ha),  and most of the farmers count the turnover of these productions as their primary income.
The history of chocolate
The history began in Mesoamerica dating back to 1900 BC. Chocolate played a special role in Mayan and Aztec royal and religious events. Priests thought that cocoa beans are offerings of their gods. All areas which were used to plant cocoa beans had to pay them as a tax or “tribute“.
cocoa beans
The Europeans used the sugar and milk to sweeten the drink.
Chocolate was alwasy use for sweets and desserts but at first, just in Europe. In the 19th century, Briton John Cadbury developed a process to make the chocolate solid and created the mordern bar.
For hundreds of years, nothing changed with the process but in the 18th century the “revolution“ started. New machines were produced and the people began experiencing and consuming choclate worldwide.
A cheap chocolate
Althought cocoa is originally from the Americans, today Western Africa produces almost two-thirds oft he world’s cocoa.
The problems facing cocoa producers
·         Expensive production, but low prices
·         A lack of knowledge to find believable organizations
·         Lots of child and slave work in West African countries
·         In 2001 child slavery in cocoa farms, in the Ivory Coast, have grown 43% of the world’s cocoa.
Fairtrade logo
Solutions with the social movement “Fairtrade“
·         These producers are only small family granges
·         When the international markt price of a product is over the Fairtrade Minimum Price (comes immediately to the producers), then the farmers get this price + the Fairtrade Premium (is within the purchase price for social and economic investments).
·         Fairtrade also gives credits before the reaping (goes until 60% of the purchase price)
·         No child work and no constrained work

Racism

by Nikolaj Tessar, Luzhen Gong, Christoph Strauss

Racism

Definition: Racism is discrimination of other humans with different looks or cultural backgrounds.

Racism in Austria:
  • In Austria not all people are aware that they are being racist.
  • Racism excists everywhere in Austria
  • For example: In 2011 a woman with black skin wanted to make a bank account but an accounted said: "People like you can not have an account here!"  This person tried it at an other bank and the response of the bank guy was: "What's your real job ?"
          Source: Zara 2011

Racism in school:

  • How do you know if someone is racist? Sometimes it can be hard to recognise racism, especially if you're not the target.
  • Examples:
  1. Making fun of someones clothes, food or physical appearance of people from different cultures.
  2. Telling jokes directed against people from particular groups.
  3. Telling people to 'go back where they came from'
 Online racism:
  • Online racism is a form which is spread by single people(sometimes more).
  1. For example: When somebody gets violent, then people post untruth facts about that person on facebook, twitter, flickr, my space, instagram, whats app, gute-fragen.net, ask.fm, QQ, skype, etc.
Possible solutions against racism:
  •  Everyone does his/her own stuff in their own life.
  1. How can the problem racism be fought?
  2. How can students be educated so they can join the right groups?
  3. How can a resource teacher solve the problem of racism in school?
  4. How are foreign students with xenophobia faced off?
Thank you for reading our work about racism. I hope that we could open you a door in your mind and make you think about it.

THIS IS A WEBSITE ABOUT FAIRTRADE AND RACISM
By Robert Pfaff &Sascha Obermayer

Fairtrade:
At first we want to tell you Fairtrade is a company who makes a lot of projects which gives people a fair price for their products, so they can buy food, clothes and pay the school for their kids.
(these are the States that produce the most chocolate)
Ivory Coast: 37.1%
Ghana: 21.9%
Indonesia: 11.2%
Nigeria: 5.9%
Brazil: 5.5%
Cameroun: 5.2%
Ecuador:4.8%

The people who live there first didn't know when they get money and when not. When Fairtrade came to them they gave them a fixed price for their cocoa bean and so there life went better.

Racism:
Racism is a hot topic that erveryone of us knows. Ervery 15th white human is a racist. The most people are racist about ethical issues and bodycolour. But the question is WHY?
Our decision is that racis people are scared to lose there jobs because they work for a cheeper price.

Plastic Surgery for everyone?!

Plastic Surgery for everyone?!

The new Austrian government decided last week a new law: Plastic surgery for everyone with 16 years. The law is starting in January 2014.

Many people are angry about the new law. Everyone has to make a plastic surgery at the age of 16 years. The statement of the government is that no one is perfect and that you are after the surgery more beautiful. But what is with the side-effects? Very much jung people are afraid, because of the side-effects. You can also get an allergic reaction. Some parents meant that their children are more successful after the surgery because they are more beautiful. The Austrian people don’t know how much that costs. Not everyone is so rich!

I think that the plastic surgery for everyone isn’t a good idea because not everyone wants it. The surgery shouldn’t be for everyone, only for those people who want it and earliest at the age of 16.

PLASTIC SURGERY AT 16 ?

Hello guys I'm going to tell you about a new law which the goverment of the united states is planning to enact.

It says that teenagers with the age of 16 are forced to get a whole body plastic surgery and are turned from uglies to pretties and are allowed to live a life of fun and partying. A point that speaks for it is that there probably will be less racism because everyone looks alike. It also could increase the chance of a good job and probably open some doors in the future. There also won't be any need to do sports because nobody has to care about their figure anymore when liposuction can just make you thin. But it also could have negativ side-effects like headache or drowsiness. There also can be complications with the surgery which could be followed by sickness or death. But the stupidest thing is that there wont be any uniqness because everyone looks alike and ther is no uniqness.

I think that it is pretty much the dumbest law that was ever proposed and I hope that it wont come to that because there is absolutly no reason to do stuff like that which can kill people.

My opinion on a solution is that people are allowed to get plastic surgery if they want to, but only from the age of 18 and against even more money so less people can afford it.

Plastic Surgery: A must have???!!!

Hello guys,
today I'm gonna tell you about plastic surgery's, their PROs and CONs and their consequences to our health.
The new Austrian government (red/black) presents a new law: Everybody have to do a plastic surgery or otherwise it will have his consequences for the culprits.

I personally think that plastic surgery isn't good for everybody because it has many adverse effects. First of all, the materials which are made of silicon are sometimes insecure. If you're allergic to this material you may become some redness or more nasty things. In order to guard against those things you shall make a test for sure.

Second, the surgery is very expensive and sometimes the peoples didn't have the money for such stuffs. For this problem there's a solution: The government could foster those people who haven't the money.

The third point is that plastic surgery had risks. One of thousand plastic surgery's ends deadly. If you won't be the one, then do NOT  made a plastic surgery.

But even plastic surgery's have their good points. One of them is that the people who have an implant feel more self confident than other people who haven't those implants. Sometimes is a plastic surgery for 16 years old teenager's only for a proof that you're cool and nobody can stop you.

Another good argument is that less teenager's will mob you because you are prettier than the others or you are as pretty as the others.

The last good point that I prepare for you is that most of the people who have done the plastic surgery are very happy because they aren't the Uglies anymore.

I personally think that plastic surgery isn't an good idea for a law, everybody should his or her free choice to have implants in his or her body or not. Perhaps we (the people who are against that law) can organise a demonstration to let the government see what we think about their new law.

I wouldn't do a plastic surgery at all, not even if somebody force me to do that. Everybody have his own opinion and I think our country is better without this law. My ultimate opinion is "You only see clearly with your heart. What is essential is invisible to the eye."

Plastic surgery for everyone ?

Plastic surgery for everyone ?

A new law  forces the 16 year old people to do plastic surgery. Many people like the new law, because they always wanted plastic surgery. But some people, think that it isn´t a good idea to have plastic surgery at the age of 16. This people are called the "Uglies". Now I´m going to tell you the advantages and the disadvantages of plastic surgery. Some advantage would be, that there is less mobbing because of appearance. And some people would be happy after the surgery, because they aren´t ugly any more.
But plastic surgery has many disadvantages, like there is a high risk of skin cancer. One of five patients is suffering from complications. And after the operation, the patient might not be happy of the result. And the fewest would have the money to pay the operation. So I think it isn´t a good idea, that everyone has platic surgery at the age of 16, for some people it might be good. But not for the most.

Comment on a new law

The new Austrian government (Koalation Black/Pink/Red) introduces a new law, where guys at the age of 16 have a (plastic) surgery, to become „Pretties“. But some people don’t want to have a surgery, so they are called the „Uglies“. This implementation starts in May 2015.

There are some Pros and Cons for this „idea“ :

PROS:

·        After the plastic surgery you look prettier

·        You don’t „need“ to do sports àuposuction

·        Less mobbing

CONS:

·        Too expensive

·        Anaesthesia is dangerous and might life-threatening

·        Less sports à unhealthy lifestyle: bypasses, highet blood pressure

I think that plastic surgeries are dangerous, especially for young people. With a little mistake oft he doctor, you can die. So when you need a surgery, to get helthier than befor, than do this! But when you only want to become „prettier“, don’t do it! Are you sure, that you want to lose natural features and (maybe) lose your live in one second?

Thank you, and see you next week!
Yours, Martina :-)

Luzhen Gong: Plastic surgery should be legalized with 16 ??

The new Austrian Government introduces a new law. It says that everyone, who reaches the age of 16 has to get a plastic surgery. Afterwards they will become to "pretties". The implementation will start in May 2015.
Most of the people like the new law, because they think that it is useful, but where the people are for it, there are also people who are against it. However, since there were many protests,  for it or not, the government decided to orient themselves to the experts.
Together with the experts, they were looking for pros and cons and now I'm presenting it for you.

Pros:
No mobbing, Everyone will be targeted to look like a top model, Surgeons and the state will suppose to earn a lot of money, Children who are brain washed by the media will look at last satisfied with their lives.

Cons:
The price for the operation and insurance etc, high risk of side effects (for example: cancer, asthma, rash, etc.),  Never ending competition with the beauties, There is a small chance at the surgery that can go wrong and ultimately leads to death

My personal opinion is that I'm fully against this suggestion with the plastic surgery. I think that's not useful, because I think that you should not send a 16 year old kid for a plastic surgery. Everyone is beautiful at his/ her own way and if someone doesn't seem to it, he or he should probably improve his/her self-esteem. Yes, there are exceptions but in which another possibility is gain.

Now I come to the conclusion for a possible solution, I think plastic surgery should be introduced to 16 year old kiddies, but when they want to get a plastic surgery, they have to need a permission from their parents. People who are older than 21are allowed without permission from parents to get a plastic surgery.
With this idea we want to help the children to feel beautiful and to increase the national treasury.
You're welcome!

Plastic Surgery at the age of 16 years?

Since we had voted a new major and he want to release a new law which says that every one has to do an plastic surgery at the age of sixteen.
And then we the "Uglies" will become "Pretties".
Many people likes our new major but some people hates him.
I will name you now the

PROS:
less of mobbing and racism, you can have the figure you wanted, more money will be invested into the medicine

CONS:

it isn't for free, very expensive price, can bring allergic reactions, can bring breast cancer

In my opinion it isnot such a bad idea I mean I can have the figure i ever wanted but a cons is that it isn't for free because I mean if the gouverment force somebody to do it why isn't the surgery for free ?

Jakobs Blog: Why plastic surgerys with 16?

Since the new law which tells us to do plastic surgerys with 16 years has been introduced, some people got really angry because they say it´s their own decision to make plastic surgerys or not. That´s also my opinion, because I think we have the right to do what we want and nobody has the right to tell us how we have to look like. Especially the fact that 16 year old boys and girls get forced to look like the government wants them to look is an insolence. That´s all I wanted to say. Thank you for reading my blog I hope you enjoyed it and do maybe agree. Good night.

Plastic Surgery at the Age of 16?

The new major of Chester's Mill want to release a new law. Everyone has to get a plastic surgery at the Age of 16. Afterwards they become "Pretties". Most people like the new law and the major, but some people, called the "Smokes" protest against the law. The major decides to ask experts for their support. They collect pros and cons.

Pros:
no solitude, no mobbing, personal style (clothes) would be effected, surgeons earn a lot of money

Cons:
very expensive price, high risk factor/possibly cancer, people want to become a surgeon/nobody wants to become another kind of doctor, neverending competition

The major and the experts decide that people don't have to get the surgery. They consider carefully that everyone can make his own decision.

Plastic Surgery at 16??!

Hello!! And welcome (back) to Alinas Blog!
Today I am going to write about a recently released law which says that every sixteen year old has to undergo a plastic surgery. Everybody who refuses the surgeries is an outsider, one of the so called “Uglies”.
Many people think that this is a great idea but there are also many opponents and a few aren’t sure what to think about it.
I personally think plastic surgeries are very risky and I mean that this law should be offset because if anyone has a surgery, it should be his or her own decision. Besides, if everyone gets operated too look like someone else, a Star or Top model, than everybody would look the same!
Maybe it would help if everybody would just stay there selves but get operated just a little bit so everybody looks prettier. Still I am not really well-disposed for plastic surgeries.

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed it!!

Another colour poem

Black is the colour of my best liked t-shirt.

Yellow is the sunshine shining on the earth.

Orange ist the colour of my favourite fruit, the mango.

Red ist the colour my face turns into when I was too long in the Yellow.

Green is the colour of hopeness.

Brown is the colour of earth, you need to live on.

Blue is the colour of the sky when you look at it or the colour of the water you need to live.

Purple is the colour of something I really don´t like.

BY THE RIVER
This book by Steven Herrick is a book with lot of peoms. But the most peoms don't rhyme. One peom is about a boy who called Harry. Harry is the main character in the story. The story is about a boy who had a girlfriend but she died when Harry swam with her. So he was sad. Later in the poem a new girl arrived to school. Her name was Claire. At first nobody wanted to tell with her only Harry. They fell in love later. One day Claire and Harry went to the river where Linda (Harrys old girlfriend) died. They swam a long time.......

I think the story isn't interesting because nothing happend. You can read it when you want but you must know it give better books.

Is book which is made of peoms. The main caracter is a boy called Harry. The book is telling us many feelings of the characters. Henrys Family has got a house, his father gave him oil. With this oil Henry should paint the oil on the old house. But later the house was smelling terrible, because the oil didn`t smell good. So the people made jokes about it and they spit on the house. Then a new girl called Claire came in to the class, he liked her. The whole story is at the first view not logical but many poems aren´t logical at the first view. I think if you want to understand the story you need to feel in the characters.

I think the book is very interesting. But not for all people, if you like books with many emotions and if you like poems, you should read it.

My book review (by the river)

Hello and Welcome to my book review!!
Today I’m going to tell you about a very interesting verse novel written by Steven Herrick.
 (my rating: #####)
The book tells the story of a boy or a young man, called Harry. First there is the story of him living in a small, old house in a little village with his father who refuses to restore the cottage, and then Harry shows us some of his memories which are like small packages, tiny little moments, which we are supposed to put together so that they make a life story.
I think this novel is very interesting to read because you really have to use your own imagination and Harry, the main character, is kind of intransparent and mysterious because he actually never talks about himself or how he feels, he just writes what he sees and what the others do.
I can really recommend this book not only to everyone who likes poems, but also to everyone who wants to train his/her English or who is thrilled to altercate a person and its background. Although I have to say the book is not easy to read, but I think it is a fascinating and very interesting challenge.

By the river by Steven Herrick  ***/*****

This is a story about a boy called Harry. He had a girlfriend. Her name was Linda. They liked each other and they had a great time. One day they went swimming. Linda jumped into the water and suddenly she drowned. Linda was dead.

Harry was very sad because he lost his girlfriend but then a new girl arrived in his class. Her name was Claire. They made friends soon and after a while Harry had a new girlfriend. He forgot Linda.

On a sunny day they went swimming. It was the same place where Linda died. Claire didn't know it so she was happy. She jumped in the water. In this moment Harry didn't think about Linda's death. He jumped in the water and was very happy with his new girlfriend Claire, too.

I think it could be a true story. It is a very simple one but the story wants to tell us something. "Look at the future! It is important."

By The River by Steven Herrick

Hello everybody,
today I want to recomment a book which is made of poems. This book call "By The River". I think that it's really good to read and so I give it five big stars.

This book is about a young adult call Henry and he remember his childhood.
There he lived in a mean, little and shabby house and he didn't want to live like that anymore. So he learnt how to cut a watermelon from his father.
After that, a new girl called Claire came into his class and he liked her very much.
Then some other old memories came and in the last memory his mum died.

I think you shouldn't read this book, if you are very emotional. Then you would cry after reading.
But besides that this book is a very great one.
I think if you like poems you should really read this book. It's great, but often also not logical and often confusing.

Today I’d like to tell you something about the book “By the river“. The book is about a boy called Harry. I think that he’s the person who tells us the story. At first he talks about his house, that isn’t really nice and his dad who doesn’t want to decorate it. And then there are some parts of his life that aren’t longer than three minutes. Together the parts produce a story.

I think that this book is very interesting but also difficult to read. It’s not logical all the time but I like it. I didn’t understand everything but I understood the important things. If you like poems than you should read it.

By the River
by Steven Herrick

Hey, now here I am going to introduce to you the book " BY THE RIVER " by Steven Herrick.

First of all there was a father in a hospital. He couldn't believe it, that his friend slipped on a banana and broke his nuts. Impossible, he said but his friend showed him the converse.  He took a patch of daisies, but he wasn't alone. No, there was me, Uncle Filps, Mum, Dad and the always drunk aunty Nancy.
Someone, sometimes he had the thought that it would happen to him. Just the thought about it, made him weak. His mood changes were like a storm season. Sometimes he screams and sometimes he shouts.
But everything changed when the hot doctor came in and greeted him. His eyes only focused on her face and they talked and laughed.
Two years later, Harry was born.....

Attention
When you read the text below you are probably going to like this book - I'm not showing off!!!!

I think this book is so awesome that I can't even explain how awesome it is :)
Even if you haven't dealt with same problem before, like the guy who broke his nuts, the book makes it really easy to understand what the characters are going through. I was able to compassion a little bit. ^.^
Whenever I started to read the verse novel, I got so drawn into the book that I could create intensive movies in my head of what was going on and what each of the characters was doing or thinking about. I never got bored, I felt as if I was sitting there with the characters, so smooth was the flow of the poem. If you are ready for an emotional roller coaster (and it does not get you down too much) than read this verse novel. You wouldn't regret it!!

TEEEHHEEEEEEE!
